DGRC Symposium

The NSERC CREATE Program in Distributed Generation for Remote Communities (DGRC) held its second research symposium on June 25th with presentations by DGRC faculty and trainees. Dean Cristina Amon (Director, DGRC) delivered the opening remarks to an audience that included students, faculty and industry partners.

The DGRC program enters its 3rd year in September and provides trainees the opportunity to study energy systems for remote communities. A focus in the coming year will be to provide more internships, professional development courses and workshops, and opportunities for field research like the recent visit to Kitchenuhmaykoosib Inninuwug.
